PS3 and 360 difference is 2.07m in shipments, can PS3 overtake 360 by Dec. 31, 2011? (Read OP for rules)

Q3 calendar, Q2 sony financial year.  My point was it did have a significant impact on sales.

Whats was the sales difference YoY for PS3? I'm sure it had an impact, just doesn't seem to be a game changer.

Also, the 360 Slim launched last year in September. Perhaps that has something to do with 360 being down YoY?

yep Halo and Kinect. all 3 did very well for 360 last yr, and with UC3 likely taking out most of the GEARS 3 boost considering PS3 still had more then a 80k lead over 360 for most of PS3's pricecut. a pricecut is what MS will need to do for the most part to hold there lead over PS3.

thers an RPG special edition PS3 console that i can't remember the name of coming out in Japan that should help boost sells, but i'm not sure what month.

and then theres FFIIIX-2 and Special editoin console that i'm not sure will hit stateside in Dec. and the multicolor consoles (blue, green, red, and white) coming out this month in Japan and the EMEAA.

and then theres the bundles both have for black friday so Nov. will be a close one, but Sony needs to out sell 360 by 200k through or more a wk through Nov. to Dec. to pass the lowest vgc member predition for 360 unless the Japan sells boost makes up that 200k or more boost in Dec..

i'm ver doubtfull of some of this helping, but  atleast Sony is doing something right?
