Well basically I'm the type of person who will only buy a game brand new if it's a game that deserves $60-$70 of my hard earned cash. Although there are many 9/10 games this fall, very few of them are interesting enough where it makes me want to get the game brand new. The game can be short, or just lacking the content of other full priced games (e.g. NFS Shift does not have the same amount of content or level of quality Forza or GT games do), or maybe not the type of game we were hoping for (Assassin's Creed 2.5, 2.5-II) so to me it's not worth the full price. Ontop of that many games come with DLC after DLC to the point where the game can cost double or triple its original price.
This is why I buy most of my games used. I was wondering what other used gamers plan to buy this holiday.
The games I am looking out for are:
- Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood ($20)
- Batman: Arkham City ($30 GOTY down the road)
- Catherine ($20 - short)
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ($60 likely)
- Crysis 2 ($20 like it is on steam)
- Dead Island ($20 - may have to wait on this one)
- Deus Ex (but I might just borrow this from a friend)
- Fallout: New Vegas GOTY Edition ($40, F3 GOTY was $40 not long after they released it)
- InFamous 2 (When I get a PS4, not replacing my broken PS3)
- Portal 2 ($20-30)
- Uncharted 3 (When I get a PS4, not replacing my broken PS3)
- Vanquish (want to complete this game and keep it)(<$20, buying it for keeps, or to complete and tier trade MW3 for)
I was wondering what others are looking forward to getting.
