This shouldn't even be considered an argument really, I guess it got out of hand and it's great that you enjoy kinetic. The more people use, the more incentive for studios and developers to get onboard. I mean, what I would give to see a game like Heavy Rain on Kinect. It would be just perfect. The thing, I want to like kinetic, I do, but it would be an extremely expensive purchase (on my budget) to afford both a 360 AND Kinetic. So thats why I become so dissapointed when a game for kinetic comes out that doesn't wow me. I need that 3 or 4 games to come out where I jgo "holy shit, I must have this." But so far my list is at Dance Central 2. I guess I'm hoping for a bit too much, and kinetic is still relativily young. For those with a 360, Live and all their stuff setup, it's easier to get started. |
I just bought Kinect a few weeks ago, but I've been paying a lot of attention to what has been happening since Microsoft announced Natal, and I'm pretty impressed with the games that are coming out at the moment actually. You have to remember that despite even though we've had EyeToy, Kinect is still very new and developers have never had anything like it to use like this. It will take some time before we start to see the really amazing stuff, but playing through Rise of Nightmares makes it clear to me that there is potential here.
Developers are slowly starting to get it more and more, and are starting to take a few more risks. Leedmees is an excellent example of a good Kinect game, where the developers have a good idea and make a small game out of it for example.
But don't get me wrong, there's no way the current Kinect line-up is worth buy both a 360, a Kinect and the games themselves for. Wait a bit longer before buying, but I guarantee you that progress is happening, and at healthy pace as well.
