It's just an arcade game. Not suppose to be anything impressive just fun and simple, which it is. I don't understand why you bring up the Move or Wiimote. Just because a game would maybe be better on another system doesn't mean it should. For example just because a game like say, Killzone would sell better on the 360 doesn't mean they should release it on the 360. The Gunstinger is impressive and fun game. Do you know who Twisted Pixal are? If you do you would know all their games are quality and extemely fun. There is a reason MS bought them. I don't understand why your complaining about two games you haven't played and probably will never play. |
I just said I wasn't aguing whether it was fun or not. You're right, I probably wont play neither, I'm just pointing out that it could work just as well with Move or Wii. It looks fun, but it isn't impressive, that's what both Kinect and Move need. Notice how the biggest selling titles for both are the ones that come bundled with them, by millions of copies. You see, I represent a small part of the market that Microsoft wants: The competition's fan. I love the Playstation brand, I enjoy/like the Nintendo brand but I'm not fond of the Xbox brand. Kinetic was a way to bring in a whole new crowd of people by innovating the motion control zone, but the games that have come out, appart from Dance Central 1 and 2, are not impressive at all. Nor do they make wanna buy a 360. Kinetic has so much potential and what I am arguing is that it's been wasted on these sub-par games. They make a nice addition to it's library but still very very lack luster
Even though I consider myself a PS3 fanboy, It's not out of the realm of possibility that in the future I will buy a 360. I don't like most of the franchises on 360, but kinetic opened up a whole set of new franchises possible, yet they keep coming out with these arcade, on rail, party games that will never be an incentive to buy the Kinect for the competitior's fanbase. For the record, I love motion control. I owned the eyetoy during the last gen, I came very close to buying a Wii (and I mean money in hand and holding a Wii in my hands buy) and I recently got Move (which also isn't doing a pretty bad job at this) I know the main market for Kinetic is casual and families but still. And yes I have herdf twisted pixel. They had a lot of PSN games for a while, still I never got around to try them out.
Basically, Kinetic has tons of pontential but microsoft doesn't even know what to do with it. The gunstringer looks like a cool and we can all hope it sells, but my main beef is with Fruit Ninja.
