This is great but I think its already been done.
When I was growing up I was bit all day every day in my city. Especially if I went near the lake their were mosquitos everywhere. My city was well known for all of its mosquitos. I remember the whole lower mainland just covered in mosquitos you couldn't escape them.
Then when I was in middle school the municipality decided to deal with the problem and they said they would exterminate the mosquitos. Well within years their were virtually no mosquitos. In fact this whole summer I think I may have been bitten like 3 times in my city. I go to the lake and their isn't a single mosquito in sight.
I haven't seen mosquitos anywhere in the lower mainlands cities. If you want to find bugs you have to leave the city and go into the farm land. Up north the mosquitos are still everywhere but inside the city it would appear mosquitos have been entirely whiped out.
So hearing this news now is puzzling because as far as I knew they already found a way to whipe out the mosquito population.
