I quite like their new system, now gamers won't argue when an exclusive game gets a .1 lower than another exclusive game on another console. It also eliminates the whining that happens when they rate one version of a multiplayer game .1 or .2 lower than the other. At bolded: Well, that's where you're mistaken. Games from last gen that would have a 10/10 with the new system: Gran Turismo 3 - http://ps2.ign.com/articles/163/163846p1.html NONE of those are 10/10. Do you not understand my point? There is a difference between 9.8/10 and 10/10. IGN never gave 10/10 out soo easily.I'm not objective of a 9.5/10 or 9.8/10 score, just 10/10 should not be given out so easily. It should be a more reserved score. Examples from other gens: GT2, MGS, Super Mario 64, Perfect Dark, Dragon Warrior III, Conker's Bad Fur Day etc. etc. You get the point |
Maybe they should just included grading to the .1 above 9/10 because that this point any little flaw in the game is critical to it's score.
