The attach rate of Wii Sports is constantly going down when each new succuessive Wii Sports-type game comes out.
It'll definately be close, but it might not have the gas to get there. IMO, I tend to think a Wii Sports 2 will be released very close to when it his the 3.5m mark (give or take), and will severely lower Wii Sport's sales, to prevent it from getting that mark.
However, Wii Sports, even if it beats DQ7, will never, ever reach anywhere close to DQ7's LTD revenue - the majority of those 4 million copies were sold at a much higher price than Wii Sports, a budget game.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
