yes he did, but was revived in 2008 when Dawn of the Dragon released and sold 1.5m (0.5m just on Wii) and now this is going to sell much more!

the last Spyro game (2008)  had a terrible launch, like 55k all platforms combined, but was that great that it had long legs currying it to 1.5 and above, and reviews were around 7.5

i guess there's no chance this one won't enter the charts and stay on for the holidays, welcome back Spyro!!!

Yeah but this one seems to be getting good reviews from the little available

I've seen some of the PS3 version in action and it made me think of actually buying the game...or renting it at least.
