I'd happily be a stay at home dad - console to myself, yippee!

Unfortunately my wife only works part time while I work full time so little chance of that.

I think either parent can work while either can stay at home - as for childcare, studies do show it is not as good as having a parent at home, but for many this is not an option due to cost of living, etc.

My wife was able to stop work when we had kids and I'm glad financially we could take this option, and when kids hit school age she began part time work more out of desire than need. But that's not an option for everyone and I'd hesitate to criticise people where both parents have to work to earn enough and childcare becomes a necessity.



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
