It's a solid game.  It's so much of a game that I wouldn't recommend it to some of my "gamer" friends that only play things like Call of Duty, Gears of War, and even Uncharted.  This game requires you to think, remember a lot of commands, and backtrack.  I can see a lot of gamers that thought they were gamers getting frustrated with the game.  It's really deeper than I ever expected.

And how can you not be a Batman fan?  I've been raised in the church of Batman since I was born!  There are a LOT of things that Rocksteady has thrown into the game for Batman fans--maybe too much!  Bane was born in Santa Prisca.  How would a casual fan or a non Batman fan know that?  If you read the comics, watched the cartoons, watched the movies, played with the toys, and wore the Batman Underoos, you'll be in Batman heaven.  I think that being a fan of the character is a lot of the fun.  Sure, they give you character Bios and little stories but most of the characters you meet have anywhere from a 10 to 70 year history of stories behind them.  Knowing that history and seeing how well it plays out in the game is a big deal.  You'll like the game but I'm not sure you'll love it--and I want you to love it!

As for why I don't love Batman, it just isn't that popular in mainland Europe. It's known, but there aren't so many big fans. Youl'll notice that whereas most Hollywood movies make more money oversees than in the US, Batman movies make most of their money in America.

But who knows, perhaps this game is what will make me a fan!
