Months as opposed to an open-ended commitment in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the civil war likely would have dragged on much longer without US intervention

The peace prize i saw as more political than anything, but not so much in a bad "we'll give it to him because he's not George Bush" kind of way, but in a more utilitarian "we'll give it to him so that maybe he won't become George Bush" kind of way

I guess it worked, then, to the extent that he's doing shit George Bush could only dream about, and with barely a peep being raised about it.
