So I went to Scarowinds last night (the Halloween-ification of Carowinds, a theme park right on the border of North/South Carolina) and I had a lot of fun. It really wasn't that scary, but I went more-so for the atmosphere than anything (I'm weird, I know ). A couple of the haunted houses were pretty tame, but there were also some good ones.
Camp Killauee (Summer Camp gone horribly wrong. They had some good scares and gags) 8/10 Last Laff in 3D (Fun House with Killer Clowns... in 3D!) 7/10 Dead Inn (A Haunted Hotel. This had my favorite sight gag: Two rooms are juxtaposed together with a hole in the middle acting as a mirror. Two people would stand and act as reflections... it looked awesome when one would move "out" of the mirror to get you) 9/10 Defex Inc. (Abandoned Toy Factory with lots of sight gags. Very fun and scary) 10/10 Fury (Military Complex overrun with crazed mutant super soliders. Really disappointing...) 5/10 Cornstalkers (A haunted corn field. Lots of camoflauged scarecrows that popped out of the cornstalks.) 8/10 The Cemetary (Back to basics cemetary theme) 7/10 Feeding Frenzy (Punk Rock Vampires in a post apoctalypic setting. Pretty imaginitive actually.) 8/10

Canada's Wonderland (near Toronto) does something similar, it's called The Halloween Haunt and it looks like a lot of fun. Unfortunately, Toronto is about 6 hours away from where I live so I've never had the opportunity to go and experience it for myself.
