Call of Duty's bullets take down someone too quickly? In comparison to what, real life?

It unfortunately makes the medic class a little less helpful as well (in regards to bf3). What is the point of laying down a med kit when your teammates will die so quickly you will have no chance to help them? You can always revive...but I wish the med kit was a bit more useful.
