The problem is not the Cell though. RAGE uses new technology that puts the RAM, harddrive and disc to heavier use than most games, and that's an area where the PS3 is weaker than the 360. And that exactly what Carmack is talking about here, there isn't enough RAM and you can't read fast enough from harddrive and disc on the PS3.


Thats perfectly fine. As long as the game is running and gamers get a good experience out of it, it should be fine. If a gamer like myself owns both consoles we know which console to buy the PC ported shooters on.
