There is also a chance that Germany overtakes UK as biggest gaming market in Europe. UK is down 15% in unit sales through September (4.7m units). Last year 68.4m units were sold in UK, if 15% decrease continues throughout the year UK would end up at 58.1m. Germany sold 53.8m units last year. According to BIU PC unit sales were up 8% to 12.3m, and console unit sales were up from 8m to 10m in H1 2011. Portable software revenue was down 1%, no unit figure given.
