I actually agree with all except Red Dead Redemption. I felt that game jsut had so much to do, such great production values, such a great story with great characters, and such fun gameplay I had nothing bad to say about it. I actually held off buying this BECAUSE I hated Grand Theft Auto IV and didn't want to buy into the hype, but once I got it, I didn't look back. One of my favorite games this generation.
While your criticisms for Oblivion and MEtal Gear Solid are sound, I do disagree that they're overrated. MGS still has a LOT of TOP notch quality gameplay even without the cutscenes, so I'm not sure if that's really a fair complaint. same with Oblivion: I agree the production values are shoddy (horrible animations, sound, music, and mediocre graphics), but I honestly think the sheer scope of the game (in size and content) more than dwarfs those shortcomings.
Heavy Rain just wasn't for you, and I Respect that. I didn't enjoy the game myself, but I respected it since it did so much so well, and it's nice to see real innovation.
Final Fantasy XIII is the single worst game I've ever played to completion, even worse than Duke Nukem Forever.
