Forgot about KR, but I would argue that the genre was not really popular in those days, not like it is now. otherwise we would have seen alot of games like that.

Im not saying that there is no market for these games on PS3, im saying that it is really small and the other two have that market on lock. This market is being catered to very well on the Wii and thats where those customers went. Sure Sony doesnt loose nothing in trying and they should try, but they are not taken those customers away from Wii at least no time soon.

If we're talking straight dance games, Wii only needs Just Dance, the other dance games do not sell anywhere near enough as JUst Dance maybe Zumba which incidentlly is having a sequel for Wii which is exclusive. We're just gonna have to agree to this agree, i dont see ED or JD3 selling that much on PS3, especially going by the Zumba and MJ #s, at least these games are cheap to make.

They could have delayed JD3 so as not to compete with ED, but even that seems silly to me as there is a sequel to JD Kids being released on PS3 in a few weeks

I would argue ales tell a different story about the popularity of Karaoke games as only in Europe SingStar the first edition managed to outsell all karaoke games since. Even the release of SingStar vol 1 which at about one million sales is a major decline for the series especially considering it's international sales data we have for the latter(Though the sales  are still  far superior to just about anything I can find in the genre that doesn't include SingStar in the title.)

I doubt they are taking customers away from the Wii either. However if console sales this generation have taught me anything it's that no market is on lock. SingStar, Buzz and EyeToy games all did pretty well coming out well after the console identity was solidified. Kinect being expensive and late to the game still did quite well for the holiday season in NA.  Why is another success so unbelievable?

SingStar Dance which from anyones experience critic or personal I've heard hasn't been very positive and yet it still managed to move .35 million copies almost exclusively in one region.  I am sure that with actual advertising and quality that number could rise .15 million more.  Wether ED represents a rise in quality or advertising I do not know and we shall see but seeing what a sub standard entry can do I don't have any doubts that it is possible but I suppose we will have to agree to disagree.

Just having the one game doesn't do as well as having a variety. Consumers love choice. Zumba is a fitness game primarily and it's sales seem standard for PS3 fitness games.  No one has really supported any type of fitness game on the console and such sales are expected. I'm sure most don't even know PS3 has fitness games.  MJ was released well past the holiday season(best time for these types of games) with little to no fanfare or advertising.  It was pushed during the holidays on the Wii and advertised well.  This disparity in advertising and getting late releases doesn't help any of the 'casual' multiplats on PS360.  This also seems to be a trend. Released late to little to no advertising and low sales.  I cant believe that is mere coincidence.

I dunno about the delay. I can only speculate.
