They lost the battle for US market a long time ago. You're just noticing?
That year head start the 360 had really made a difference. Which is why I think the Wii U will be the market leader next-gen as well.
The Wii brand is still pretty strong. Stick an "HD" sticker on the box and it'll sell like hotcakes.
