Spiders look scary, 99.5% of them are entirely harmless aside from a little irritation and some pain.  hell, you're more likely to hurt yourself getting a sliver or a papercut than being bitten by a spider.  there's no reason to kill spiders unless you're like, Australian or Brazilian (fucking brazilian wandering spiders are a BITCH) 

But no matter the angle, there's no need to kill out of fear.  If you're a religious person, then you know that all of God's creations have a place in this land, and if you're more the sciency type, then you know that all species play their role in the circle of life.  in the grand scheme of things,  the life of a spider or maggot is more valuable than a human life.  

But that's a rant for a whole other day.
