Why no PC option? More people will buy for PC than PS3.
Man if only the proportion of PS3 buyers really did end up being the same as the proportions in this poll. Unfortunately it's going to be more like 5:1 ratio.
There was never any chance of Mass Effect becoming a big success on PS3. It would have done well if the franchise launched on PS3 at the same time as it launched on 360/PC. But as a PC centric developer simply didn't have PS3 on its radar, and of course they were happy to have Microsoft take on the publishing side of the costs.
As can be seen with Dragon Age: Origins there is a decent market for WRPGs on PS3. ME2 and 3 will be 50% below the sales potential it could have achieved if it had launched alongside PC/360. I don't think MS being publishing partner really makes up for that sort of loss of sales potential.
