I imagine the velociraptors in Raid0 will be just as fast if not faster performance than the SSD's and also would give you that extra space. Just be diligent with your backups and be prepared to repair/replace both drives in the event of a failure.


Even in Raid running 10k HDDs comes nowhere near the speed of low-end SSDs.

Though, in a more practical sense, it's absolutely good enough in almost all applications.
