The GTX 6xx series is worth waiting for just 3-4 months and you get 28 nm Kepler and not 40 nm Fermi like GTX 4xx and 5xx series. Which means a lot more power for the same price and definetly more future proof. I would endure the new games with lower settings for the next months to get a bigger jump later |
from what I have been hearing production may start in Q4 but they won't be available until Q1 next year for Kepler http://www.fudzilla.com/home/item/23989-28nm-kepler-production-this-year and there may even be slight delays to 28nm. There is a slim chance that the 7000 series will hit this year but I am hearing that they are focusing on bringing the GPGPU and the top end stuff up more than focusing on gaming performance so I am not sure how much of an advantage that will have in the high midrange TBH.
