not much more so than the rest of the western world...  we'd be a lot more screwed tied into that abortion of an idea. 

The Euro was, and is, one of the most stupid ideas of all time.   Its ill conceived and was purely for political reasons, it was destined to fail.

Well for starters an abortion of an idea is a little harsh. Also although things right now are pretty bad its the world economy thats plumiting (although i admit the euro has taken an extra hit) but i'd rather take the hit for being on the side of a good idea at its core (for europe to have one currency) - yes it could've been implemented better but so could alot of things and hindsight is 20/20.

And its not like everything is daisys and queens arses over your end, if Europe had the riots that enguilfed your glorious nation of kazakistan country (we did have them but not nearly as bad) everyone would be blaming the euro for the troubles and therefore the riots, your country is in no state to be telling others what to do , as far as "stupidest ideas of all time" goes i'd rather go with a single currency than sucking up to a bigger country and following them into a pointless war in the middleast - my point is your country is far from perfect and don't throw stones from glass houses - or economies on the brink.

Again hindsight is 20/20 and its easy for you to point out the negatives of what happened saying in an "alternate universe" where there was no euro everything was fine and dandy and there was no recession and everyone was holding hands but some very smart minds and leading economists were behind the euro decision too as well as political, men and women who had degrees from the highest institutes. But maybe i'm wrong perhaps you are a world leading economist with tenure in harvard....or is it cambridge?
