the campaign was great, but for me it seemed a little scattererd

maybe it was because I expectation were set a little too high but the campaign was a just a little bit of a let down

the first act started off pretty good, presscott comes back out of nowhere, defending the ship against the lambent and eventually the Leviathan the ship explodes...then it hit a wall, out of nowhere you're thrown back an hour later as cole/baird/carmine/and sam looking for food...and it took some time for the momentum to comeback(about until you reached the cougar dome) it was cool seeing the Leviathan die from another perspective, but apart of me kinda felt like it was a waste.

act II was solid(pretty damn good actually) loved fighting the mother crawlr and its yougins.

Act III started off with a bang defending the fort from both the lambent and locust(then eventually fighting the lambent beserker) then it slowed again by looking for fuel...yes it was sad that Dom dies(he's my favorite character in the franchise) but it seemed a little pointless...wouldn't it made more sense if he got the truck and then told them to hop on instead of driving into the gas tanks not only taking his life but losing the fuel they came to get...

act IV was pretty slow altogether...the "ash city" part was slow as you had to chase the "ash man" then had to go go on another fuel hunt for fuel by the "Ice T" character. and then once you got the fuel you had to go on another hunt for items to make the submarine to usable which was boring(imo) but it was helped buy some cool action pieces but it felt more sporadic, it seemed it was there just to make the hunt for the items more exciting. And this was my biggest gripe...I mean I saw all the trailers saying "finish the fight", "brothers to the end" and for the majority of act III an IV were just hunting for items.

Act V was great my only complaint was that the story seemed rush...before and after rescuing Marcus's father you hear all this information about how he knew(Marcus's father) about the locust before "E-day" and even talked to the queen before E-day(which you really never knew her backstory) and it never went into detail, and Baird was asking about this he was basically shut-up with "there is a more important matter." the ending boss fight was immense! though the queen's death was a little anti-climatic(I would've used the hammer of dawn on her alone :p)

Gears of War 3 was great(one of the best games I've played on my 360 and this gen) and did the ending signal Marcus and Anya getting together?
