After FF9, the graphics and visuals started becoming and end rather than a mean. 10 is when they started taking out features in order to preserve the visual quality.
From initial reports, like the fact it's going to be one disc on 360 - FF XIII-2 looks like it's going to be really short.

They just didn't have time to do a lot of CGI so all the cutscenes are ingame, they said the game is 40+ hours without sidequests and will have far more side quests and a more open world to explore so probably the same or more actual gameplay.

SE says alot of things. I'm just hoping that it's not going to be repeating the same area over and over.

Very true but FFXII was 38.4GB and 31.6GB of that was CGI. Minus the CGI, FFXIII would fit on one DVD. It only had 6.8GB of game data. That's enough to fit on a 360 DVD before MS bumped the capacity of 360 DVDs from 6.8GB to 7.8GB.

It also means that the game wont be cutscene, corridor, cutscene, corridor, cutscene... but i'm stil not convinved it will be good.

Oh neither am I. I don't have a high opinion of SE. I haven't in a long time. VII and VIII weren't very good. IX was a step in the right direction. I liked X but I can see why others did not. X-2 was a joke. XII could have been great if SE stayed out of Matsuno's way. XIII was one of the worst JRPGs I've ever had the displeasure of playing and unfortunately....owning.
