In support of some the opinions and predictions already stated, it is quite possible that Sony leaves the market if it is not profitable enough or that they adopt a different name. At one time, Walkman was the premiere brand in its genre. It just about died off because of changes in technology and Apple's iPod has supplanted it. Then again, the Walkman brand still exists after nearly 30 years, so it's possible that Sony would keep the Playstation brand, as well.
