It's seamless. The bonfires will be there to make up for (I suppose) the lack of a central hub

I know it's seemless....once you die you will be put back to the last bonfire you saw. I know there won't be too many of them but that still makes it so much easier because you don't have do a whole level over again.

For demon's souls, it's the same.

If you die on the bridge after the phalanx, and you spawned at this archstone, that's where you'll restart.
