Well said. I think it's important to realize also that there were more PS2 owners that didn't buy FF, MGS, GT, or GTA than those that did. It's rather likely that most of these owners will not buy PS3s for the new iterations in these series. That's not to say they won't buy a PS3, but for most they'll need other reasons for the purchase.
