"So potentially any time we've gone out and negotiated exclusive content of things that we've announced at things like DPS or E3, publishers are getting the living crap kicked out of them by Microsoft because they are doing something for the consumer that is better on our platform than it might be perceived on theirs."

BF3/Rage are 2 or more discs...

Microsoft does not charge a royalty per disc

Sorry but what does royalty on disc have to do with Microsofts publishing policy or what I wrote?

If SE made lush 1080p CGI scenes just for the PS3 but only used real time events in the 360 version then it might upset Microsoft, is what the article says. Microsoft want at least an equal quality title, or the better version.

Sony are upset, because if SE wanted to use that 20GB of extra space to add more characters, towns, secret dungeons, higher level caps, create a character system etc etc, they can't do it without Microsoft getting their knickers in a twist.

I think I remember reading that someone who works at SE said XIII only became linear because of the 360's limitations, and this impacted the PS3 version because of Microsoft policy, if you can't back track in the 360 ver then you can't in the PS3 ver, and that if SE decides to put Versus on 360 then the guy would quit SE, as the idea for Versus is a free roam world, like 7, 8, 9 and 12. I can't source it though, so take it lightly. It's a vague memory.
