Metro is fine for a tablet or touchscreen but who owns a touchscreen monitor? I'm not scrolling 3 pages to the right just to find the program I need.. sure it looks cool but when you have to work with it, it so time consuming.. it's like those horrible interfaces companies pour over vanilla Android.. |
Exactly - the metro UI is not very efficient without a touchscreen monitor. I can understand their strategy however, by implementing it as standard across their range of products i.e. the tile theme used on windows phones/tablets/desktops they are creating a 'familiarity' that they feel will improve the ease of use for the less tech savvy market. At least that's what I make of it.
