has anyone thought about how they will fit in the two extra shoulder buttons without it being fatter or with things sticking out?

Probably by paying engineers lots of money to think about it :P

Anyway, a few solutions spring to mind, none are ideal.

1) Don't have 4 - I can't think of many games on home consoles that require 4 trigger buttons, and even if they do, you can use modifiers (ie hold A plus right trigger = R2)

2) Smaller triggers laid out as they are on the PS3 controller - they don't even need to be the size of a finger, as long as you can pull the trigger with part of a finger

3) Normal size triggers, laid out at the xs

exactly, they could do it just like the original classic controller if they wanted to, but it seems like overkill to me. The 3DS is still a handheld no matter how much people want to treat it like a home console. With the way Nintendo work , they might not even release a version with two analogs.

After thinking about it for a while, that's actually my main beef with the platform. I would love to play most of its games, but on a bigger screen.

If they ever release an XL version, then I might consider getting one, but I'm not sure increasing the size of a parallax screen is that simple without also changing the sweet spot, or increasing the resolution.

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

mini-games on consoles, cinematic games on handhelds, what's next? GameBoy IMAX?
