The Horror! People need to grow thicker skin and moderators need to differentiate legitimate material that doesn't belong on these forums versus people just having opinions you may or may not disagree with.

I think the fact that equal numbers of people say we are too lenient and too harsh means that we're about right.

I'd say it depends on your perspective.  In some ways I'd argue we've been to lenient, and in other ways I'd argue we've been to strict,.  Depending on their  view, some will probably notice one of the two more than the other.

This subject was touched on a good bit in my thread about the forums a couple of months back.

Of course, you'll always have some people saying you're too harsh/lenient regardless of what you do.
