Can Uncharted 3 beat Gears of War 3 on metacritic?

The difference in quality between Gears & Uncharted is not that great. In fact, one could make a valid argument in stating Gears is better.

The games are extremely divergent when it comes to importance of story. The only thing that makes them common is that they are competing for best TPS. I love Gears and don't get me wrong, but Uncharted is an experience. Gears isn't on that level in that way and the multiplayer is growing as the experience deepens. Theres also more room for more Uncharted titles.

Both have pretty average strories IMO. I wouldn't give either a huge advantage in that department. Uncharted is just better at telling it's story than Gears is IMO. The most important thing in both games is gameplay. Both games excel in this department. I can't claim that either game is on another 'level'. Certainly not similar to your COD vs BF comparison.

Uncharted's story is as average as indiana Jones, which in turn isn't average at all. The lady who writes for the game is amazing. Gears of War is another typical reason for war type of game and eventually the war has to end. I would love to see what would happen if Drake found Atlantis. Thats what i wonder when I play that type of game. Haven't you?
