Wal-Mart will only sell Blu-Ray players in store according to CNN.

^^ of all the people i know with ps3's who buy blu ray movies, none of them have paid $30 for a movie yet. while movies may be priced at $30, they frequently have 2 for 1 deals.

I don't see DVD going anywhere for the time being and i don't see digital distribution (for HD movies) taking off in most of the world for quite a while as well. With that said, blu-ray will do reasonably well for itself now that hd-dvd is becoming more irrelevant each day.
