In order for the PS3 to see a dramatic increase in its rate of sales it really needs to justify its price ...
This really isn't about graphics or features nearly as much as it is about producing enough high quality exclusive games to encourage people to buy the system. As far as I see, in order to overcome the inertia and build enough momentium to begin to sell at a similar rate to the Wii, the PS3 needs 4 games which will break 5 Million units sold, 8 games which will break 2 Million units sold, and 12 games that will break 1 Million units sold all released in a 6 month time-span. Basically, the PS3 needs an exclusive million selling game released every week for 6 months before it will be a really attractive system at its current price.
