It's well known that Nintendo has Royaltee fees significantly higher than SONY and MS. Combine that with Nintendo games being slightly cheaper and the option to sell your games via online distribution with SONY; this all just means they make significant more revenue per SONY platform copy sold as opposed to Nintendo platform copy sold.
Everyone else seems to be covering the other important reasons.
