Should Xbox 720 be released in Japan?

1.5 million sales isn't much, but it's something. It's not like the PS3 is doing that much better there. MS is at a disadvantage since console sales are overall droping in Japan in favor of handhelds, and because it's American.

However MS should still try. Besides a lot of these games designed for Japanese gamers attract gamers around the world. Lost Odyssey is my favorite JRPG this gen, and FFXIII sold equally well on 360 as it did on PS3 outside of Japan.

No it didn't. Just look at sales date on this site.

PS3 America - 1.4 million
PS3 EMEAA - 1.3 million

360 America - 1 million
360 EMEAA - 750k

Final Fantasy sold ~400k more in America on PS3 and almost double in EMEAA. That's not equal.

If you followed my debate, you will see I was mistaken. I knew FFXIII sold about 1.7-1.8 million units on the 360, and I knew overall it sold 4.4 million or so on the PS3. I thought it broke 2 million in Japan, but I was mistaken.

However FFXIII sales on 360 were still pretty decent, nothing to ignore. JRPG's should still come to MS IMO.
