| spurgeonryan said: For all of you end of the world people out there, there sure has been a lot of events happening that would suggest that the end is near. "And you will hear of Wars and Rumours of Wars". No we have had wars, and there have been many rumors of wars with Iran, Isreal, Korea, China, etc. "And there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” Africa is pretty bad when it comes to famines and pestilences! Then earthquakes in diverse places!!! Alask this morning, The Eastern coast of America, Pakistan, Japan, India! Very intriguing, so either something about the Bible is real or these people who wrote it were either super smart, instructed by Aliens on what happens to planets as they age, or it is possible to predict the future 2,000 years before it happens. Religious deception is the final thing I will talk about. We have so many religions, cults, followers, and other types of entities that obviously according to people who believe in any type of God someone is going to win. I mean only one religion is right....right? Another deception would be the recent end of the world scam by the radio station. Wow! that was the biggest one I have seen that I can remember other than those few small cults that have been around over the years such as the one that had everyone kill themselves so the could jump on a space ship behind haley bops comet.
Then we have the Mayan Calendar. Dec. 21, 2012 (Winter Solstice) is when their famous calendar ends. Does this mean they thought the end of the world will happen in this year, or that they just lost interest as they slowly died off or moved on?
What do you all think? Will we just kill ourselves off someday, and evolution will make a new king of the Jungle, will Aliens come back to finish what they started years back (is God an alien?), will God come and do what he does. or will we all figure everything out and live happily ever after? |
The Mayan Calendar thing was invented in 1992 by Michael D. Coe largely to sell his book released that year called "Breaking the Maya Code". There was never a Maya Apocaypse prophecy until the 1990's, and it was made up by an American author specifically to sell books to idiots.
I also don't think war, disease, hunger, or natural disasters are a sign of the Apocalypse since those have happened all throughout history. 70 years ago World War 2 killed off tens of millions of people, before that in the 1800's the Tai Ping Revolution killed off over 20 million people, and the accompanying starvations and diseases killed off another 180 million. Before that, in the 1660's, a plague killed massive numbers of people in Europe, and London burned to the ground. Still before that a greedy family by the name of D'Medici defied Christianity to the point of excommunication, but almost in the same breath of history they bought the office of the Pope, had two Medici Popes who used the Catholic Church as a business to sell indulgences to people... Ultimately leading to the rise of Protestantism and the destruction of the Catholic Church's integrity. Natural disasters? Do I need to remind anyone that these have frequently happened, not just since the beginning of history, but since the beginning of Earth billions of years ago?
If anything is going to ruin the Earth, it will be poisoning by pollutants, and the desctruction of natural methods of clearing it up; such as the tropical jungles and rainforests.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
