They are up to 1.8 million Wiis a month which works out to 21.6 million Wiis. Assuming they don't decrease production, which seems quite unlikely, that means they will produce and more than likely sell basically as many Wiis this year as GC sold LTD, their previous home console. That is insane growth and yet you don't understand why they don't explode production even further?
It's basic supply and demand. If supply shoots up and demand drops off in a month or so then they will either have to channel stuff or just store excess stock; either way they lose money as I pointed out above.
