The 3DS screens would suddenly look tiny if you switch over right after playing on the XL.

I get what you mean, but I was thinking more about the 3D effect and the spots to see it. With a bigger screens the problem finding the spot(s) for the 3D to work could be somewhat solved or ast least add more spots to make it work better and easier.
