Let`s see what Nintendo and 3rd parties plan to release next year.

For the Wii? You serious?

A man can dream, can`t he? :D

Seriously, in the case of Europe we have Zumba Fitness 2, Mario Party 9, Last Story and Pandora's Tower. Japan has Mario Party 9 and DQ X. America so far only has MP 9.
I doubt that, even if Wii U gets released by June, Nintendo will not do anything to keep Wii users busy for 6 months. Nintendo and 3rd parties, of course. Maybe there won`t be a lot of games, but there`s got be something out there.

I kind of agree, but still what gets released on the Wii in a whole year, at least when most third parties are concerned, ammount to an average month on the PS360. I mean we had Deus Ex, Catherine, El Shaddai etc. in the last few weeks alone and the Wii would have to expect months if not years to get the same in quality.

Of course it'll have it's share of blockbusters too, specially Zelda and DQX Online, but what after the Wii U is releaed? Not every Wii fan will get a Wii U at launch and the console will be totally forgotten after that in a way no leader console ever was after it's sucessors launched. I'm not a Nintendo fan by any means, at least not anymore, but that's just sad and frustrating man.

I too believe that 3rd parties treated MS and Sony better - which is not even questionable.
Actually, that was why i ended up buying a non-nintendo console for the first time. In 2007/8 there just were no games that i wanted for Wii... they were on other consoles, so...

Yeah, the problem will really come after Wii U is released. What will Nintendo do to keep it alive?
I think that Nintendo will keep it alive for something like a year or so. But i don`t see how they could equal Sony and it`s PS2 - which still sells to this day. The difference between the two is that PS2 has a better library and even though new consoles released since 2005, PS2 was still a great choice for newcomers with great games and price.
I see Nintendo refusing to lower the price of Wii Fit. It`s still really high. If they don´t lower it by this Christmas they might package it with Wii for 99€/€ after Wii U comes out. Probably package Mario Kart and New Super Mario Bros or Just Dance 3 for 99€/$ aswell. That will probably help Wii stable for a good period.

Seeing Wii, which did so good, end this way sucks but how could it be any differently? Wii was pretty much a casual/Nintendo games console since the start.
