Well it's not really a case of discrimination here, the science actually supported this ban for a while and still supports a ban for a year after gay sex. HIV in blood is very much a worry.

Aren't they supposed to test the blood anyways? Honestly, this seems like racial profiling, only even more stupid.

no... in terms of HIV and AIDS the way that they test for the virus is to observe the effects it has on the body ( lowered white blood cell count )... i'm not sure if you've realised yet but this isn't a very effective method of testing for someone who hasn't had the virus for a very long period of time ( because the effects of the virus take a while to show up )

add to that the fact that anal sex transmits the virus far more easily than other types of sex and you have the reason for measures like these being in place
