I don't think they know it exists yet, nor do they realise the absolutely detrimental effect of a one analog stick console on the global market (see im being ironic here).
Besides I really think having Monster Hunter on a Nintendo handheld for Christmas is much bigger news, both for japan, and ntdoy since theres a direct correlation between the two parcels.
