That thing looks hideous! You can try to spin this news whatever way you like, but this is a sure fire way to tell that Nintendo are not only feeling intimated by the Vita itself, but also for the great software support it's getting. Why they didn't just add a second analogue stick will they were developing the 3DS remains a mystery.
