How do you get the Wiimote/sensor bar working with the PC. (yes, I know I could google it, but meh)

Wii sensor bar never "conects" or talks with anything. It only needs to be plugged in to Wii for power. Therefore you need to purchase a battery operated sensor bar from Nyko or similar and you're set. Wiimote works as it should as long as you have an IR reference point for it, no matter where you put it.

Is there a sensor bar that utlizes USB?

No, AA battery ones are your best bet. Or alternatively you can use 2 candles set up under your TV. True story... :)

meh... I don't know why I even ask. I won't do it anyways. In a year I'll buy a WiiU and put the Wii in another room for kids.... which is the only reason I was considering it... to let kids play in other room vs front tv.
