At this point of the generation a hardware boost dosen't move sofware significantly. It happened last year with 360S and this year with Wii rice cut.

That is not a good excuse because the shipped software continues to grow (the gap shipped/vgc for software too).

The pattern is about the same. Supose we have a 40% boost in hardware onde week following a price cut, if we don't have a blockbuster game software gets a 5-10% up.

The software gains is deluted over several weeks. We have to consider people that upgrade their sistems, used games and so on.
