It seems clear to me that the XBox brand is very strong in English-speaking nations and not nearly as strong in other important markets. This is something MicroSoft really need to address, if not this gen, at least at the beginning of next gen.
Strong Xbox sales in USA and UK are all but guaranteed for next gen, so they should shift focus to mainland Europe.
I think MS put too much effort in Japan, which it ended up being a lost cause. Had they put that effort elsewhere perhaps the outcome would've been better for them.
