i was always wondering about god being conceived as a perfect entity, all powerful and all knowing.

why would a being like this have a need to create?

before it does anything it would already know what would be the consequences. it would know everything that happens afterward.

so why do anything at all?

We already know the consequences to our creations yet we create. Scientists know fossil fuels are destorying the earth yet they continue to develop them. We know that certain technologies give us cancer yet we go on creating and consuming them. We know that one day computers will out power humans yet that doesn't stop people from building computers.

Why did God create us, I really don't know. However personally if I was alone in the Universe and had nothing to do. Even if I knew the outcome I would definatly create something. I can't possibly fathom what was going through God's mind.

yes, but creating is usually about making things better. let us disregard that perfection is already the pinnacle of creation, would you not strive to create something to improve?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
