ok.. sorry, I assume to much. I have my Wii with four original controllers. When I get my WiiU, it will go to kids room and the WiiU will be in main room... with a new set of controllers.

Now, if you are not doing something similar, then yes the controller might be extra. However, even if you sell the Wii, you would need to toss in a controller or two ... so even then this one is needed.
