Call of Duty is quite big in Japan now (200-300k) so given that SquareEnix publish it they're bound to show it along its major games. As for the rest of th western games, it feels more like a way to add variety to the line-up. And western games have some progression margin in the Japanese market so there are business opportunities for SE (a bit like the way JRPGs are rising in the west > SE, NIS America).

I'm happy to learn more about KH3D but I admit this line-up is a bit disappointing. I hope there will be some huge Vita announcements!


Doesnt Matter Japan is a sinking ship atm. The TGS is basically Japan's E3 and at TGS they need to be working hard renewing interest in the diminishing style of Games and showing that they still have what it takes to compete with West. SE is a leader among this market that was complaining of its relevance a few months ago and what does it bring to TGS?. If i didnt know I would think SE was a western developer nowadays. They need to be busting out New IP's, resurrecting old ones... to get people Xxcited about SE again, a once big name ..now just shadow.

Square Enix are not the Japanese Gaming industry and they never were. There are mainy awesome Games coming out of Japan right now from small to medium sized developers but most are not published outside Japan.

Nobody said SE is Japanese industry but they are among the biggest of that industry and carry alot influence, and I dont need a link to imageepoch I know who they and what there making and Black Rock Shooter based off a sub par OVA is not save Japan. This isnt about 1 or 2 games but the overall health of Japanese industry which is waaaay bigger than Imageepoch can even begin to handle( no offence toward Imageepoch great developers with potential that needs to better used)

Ｔｈｉｓ　ａｒｇｕｍｅｎｔ　ｔｈａｔ Japanese games industry is dying is western journalistic garbage. my argument was that the small to medium sized developers are were most of the awesome games are coming from at the moment in Japan your still putting to much enforces on Square Enix also Japanese is more ten RPGs.

5pb., Imageepoch are awesome developers so don't ignore them. (black Rock shooter is not sub par she is as big as Miku-chan in Japan and the Game is an original story not based on the OVA anyway)  and the game is selling very well for that mater. (just because you or any other westerner dose not like it dose not make i crap)  

5pb. is producing many awesome fighting and visual novel Games to. Level 5, Atlus, NIS, and more are doing very well to many of these games are on PSP though and many of these awesome games don't get published in the west. 

some of the big players that are awesome right now are SEGA, TECHMO KOEI in suporting games with a pure Japanese focus. I am just so tiered of westerners ignoring  the awesomeness that Japanese industry has to offer and use Square Enix and capcom to try and make a case for Japans demise it is not as strong today as it was but it is far from a sinking ship. Also never ignore Japanese Pop Culture influence on Gaming even if you are not very into it.
